The blogs for today are:
Linda from the Maritimes
Linda from the Maritimes
Tee hee. Yes there are two Lindas and two blogs. For those of you who don’t live in Canada, the Maritimes refers to Canada’s four “maritime” provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. They are on the east coast of Canada. Very far away from where I live. My middle daughter and her husband and my granddaughter live in Newfoundland. On the very most eastern point of Canada. I live almost at the most western point of Canada. …. Oh yes you are waiting for the blog links…
Linda from Scrapmaster
Linda from Stitch Lines
Remember they will each have links to lots of interesting Canadian (maritime Canada) blogs. And they will each have an awesome giveaway. And check out Sew Sisters blog because they will have another awesome giveaway as well.
Today I finished my November hexie flowers for the Inchy Hexagon Flower Swap. They will be winging their way to Simone in Australia.
See you tomorrow for an update on the day’s blogs in Blogathon Canada.
Janet
Just FYI...I have been informed since being here that Newfoundland is not actually considered to be a "Maritime" province - they reserve that term for the other three (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and PEI). However, if you would like to use the term "Atlantic" provinces then that would encompass all four of them. I don't know why - just another oddity of Newfoundland?

ReplyDeleteI'm from the Maritimes, so I am often correcting people about the Atlantic/Maritime thing, even people from the Maritimes!!! Course then there is also the whole Newfoundland vs Labrador thing. Whole other sore spot with us Eastern Canadians!
ReplyDeleteI love those sunny yellow hexagons. It's such a grey rainy day here today in southern Ontario.
ReplyDeleteI need to start doing hexies so I can do them while watching my little people!
ReplyDeletedistantsub at gmail dot com
Most Maritimers are quite happy to include Newfoundlanders as "their people".
ReplyDeleteNice hexies
Ooo - hexagons and flowers; two of my favorite themes!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried to sew a hexie! I like your flowers.
ReplyDeleteNice hexie flowers. I recognize one of those fabrics as one I have. I always find it interesting to see fabric I have in my stash used in other places.
ReplyDeleteI love the leafy fabric on the left hexagon. What a interesting print, almost shiny.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes buy mini charm packs to see in person what a fabric line looks like. I've used a lot of them to make hexies. Now I just need to decide how to use these hexies.
ReplyDeleteYour hexes are so cute! I once tried hexies - you have inspired me to dig them out of my cupboard and get them into a finished project.
ReplyDeletePretty hexies! I love them and the color yellow, hehe. I love saving scraps as I'm making hexies from 2" down to the 1/4" ones.
ReplyDeleteusairdoll(at)gmail(dot)com
