Leap Day is here and so is the Giveaway!

Leap Day Giveaway

The giveaway is closed...

It’s Leap Day – a very special day – and it’s time for my giveaway!  I’ll be linking up with Elizabeth from Such a Sew and Sew and if I can figure it out I’ll even attach her linky list to my post….
I have such a difficult time figuring out what to give away.  I’ve never been very skilled at buying presents either Sad smile
In the end I am having two prize packages, because I promised to do a follower giveaway, way back when, and now I have over two hundred followers!  Not that I care about numbers but I have made some lovely friends in blogland Smile
The rules for my giveaway are:
1. You must be a follower.  This is a giveaway for my followers.  And besides I might not have any followers after February 29th…. I have no idea what will happen when Google Friend Connect ceases to exist.
2. I’ll ship anywhere in the world.
3. Please only leave one comment.  Please tell me if you have ever thought of changing your name and what name you would give yourself if you were naming yourself now.
4. If you have previously posted on one of my February photo of the month posts I’ll give you a second entry for indulging my attempts at interesting photography.
5. I’m setting this up to post at 12:05 a.m. on the 29th (Pacific Standard time).  I’ll have to stay up to see if it works.  The giveaway will close at 12:05 a.m. on March 1st.  I’ll post the winners sometime on March 2nd.
6. The first name I pull (forget Random Number Generator – it was an exercise is frustration for me last time) will get first choice.
7. All the usual stuff about having a way to contact you….
Here’s what I’m giving away:
IMG_4695
# 1 – two fat quarters of this scrumptious fabric – Happiness by Kathy Davis for Free Spirit.
IMG_4697
# 2 – two fat quarters of this gorgeous fabric -  Junebug by Alice Kennedy for Timeless Treasures and an unnamed batik.  (If this batik could name itself now it would call itself Rose Blush.)
No linky – I can’t figure it out.  Go here to see the other giveaways.

  4. Sorry,I like my name BUT I would spell it differently..ie with only one L. I'm a follower and I would LOVE to win #1 if my number comes up! :)

  5. I wanted to offer a give away too, have to start at some point .. but moving (once again) crossed those plans. But at least I can still enter them.
My name, I quite like it, it's not very common in my generation. But I've always been sad that my mum let herself be talked out of adding "Olga" as my middle name, I always liked the sound of it, full and a bit round and comfortable ...
    Thanks for the chance!

  6. I never thought of changing my name. I was named for my father's mother and my twin was named for my mother's father. I was just glad when people stopped calling me "one of the twins".
Nikko says she will come and draw a name for you if it involves cheese.

  7. When I was younger I wanted to change my name, but now I am happy with it, just like it is. Drives me mad though when people just call me Ann..........my husband has always done it too.

  8. I am a follower. I don't know if I'd change my name, although I thought about it. I just couldn't pick which one I'd change it to. But here's a tidbit. My mother wanted to name me Atlanta June when I was born. My father vetoed that. Thank the Lord!

  9. the only name change i've ever thought of is what i'd be if i was a bloke! i quite fancied bernard! My name is my grandmas favorite but she didn't use it for my mum or auntie cos she felt just didn't go with her surname!

  10. I like my name - always have done - short and sweet (just like me LOL). I've been following you for sometime/

    ReplyDelete
  11. I changed the spelling of my name when I was 12. But I love my name so I would never change it. I am a follower too.
Thanks for taking part in the bloghop.

  12. Did I consider changing my name? Many, many times. My parents used my full given name (in a special tone!) when trouble was brewing. Any other name - Tom, Dick, Harry, whatever - would have worked for me during those times. Oh, the joys of childhood! Happy quilting.

  13. You will still have me - I use Blogger reader to follow so I'll still be here. I've never thoguht of changing my name, except when demands from my students or my daughter got too much for me!

  16. I am a regular follower. The only time I changed my name is when I got married. But my husband calls me "Sweetie" all the time and that's just for him.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I probably wouldnt change my name either... it is unique and I have never had anybody else have the name except my sister whose name is spelled Elberta... the first letter being the only difference.. (twins of course). I also am a follower and I am not sure if I posted already this month.

  18. Oh - when I was a kid I wanted to change my name from "Kristina with a K" to just about anything. No none could spell my name, very few people got to the "a" on the end so they called me "Christine," and there was never a keychain or such something with my name printed on it. So, I prefer "Kris."

  19. I'm already a follower, and when I got married I got a great last name, my full name is just 6 letters - Bea Lee
    and it's Bee-a, not Bee, I don't have wings and don't buzz and I certainly don't sting :-)

  25. Wonderful fabrics. Thank you for the giveaway.
I imagine most of us have thought about changing our names, especially when we had Cher and Madonna that didn't need last names to be known. I've never really thought seriously about it though. If not a Lisa, I have no idea what name would fit me.

  26. I am a follower. Sometimes I mispell my own name so Marica is what I end up with...thanks for the giveaway.

I like my name because it is French, and I like France, the French language. I've never thought of changing it, because it's one of my only links to my mother, who dies when I was very young, and of whom I have no memories.

  55. Love the header photo of your blog. I'll be back to check out moreof your items and will become a follower. As for a different name, when I was younger Julia always had an appeal to me since my legal name was Eileen. But also since EIleen was my Mom's name, I started having every call me by my middle one, Jane.

  63. You are right I did forget my name on my first post. So since I did comment on a picture here is my 2nd entry. I like family names. My Grandpa's names were Dayton and Joseph. My brother is named Dayton so that would just be confusing so I guess Joseph would be the name. But then again My brothers middle name is Joseph which might be difficult. So dads name is Lynn but that is already the middle name. So I guess I will just name my self Richard. But then Again my sons Name is Richard named after me so.

Hum So lets Try QuiltMan. Ya that might work.

  78. Okay, I guess I missed it - didn't see this yesterday morning, so sad. Oh, well, I did comment, I think once or twice earlier in the month, can't remember! Not sure what I'd like to be called, except not late for dinner - when we were kids a bunch of us would pretend we all had rhyming names like Candy, Mandy, Sandy - so maybe one of those would do! Good luck to everybody!
